Terrence Moore served as a commissioned officer in the United States Army, with responsibilities in tactical leadership, unit readiness, training, and soldier welfare. Following military service, Moore dedicated significant energy to community service in Metro Detroit. His work has emphasized mentorship, youth development, educational opportunity, civic responsibility, and support for veteran families. By applying lessons of military leadership to community programs and partnerships, Moore has sought to strengthen opportunities for young people while connecting veterans and families with resources in housing, employment, healthcare, and community support.
