About Me
James McCrone is a retired Michigan National Guard Lieutenant Colonel. During his 27 years of service, McCrone served the state, nation, and community in a variety of leadership and service capacities, such as, State Public Affairs Officer (on the staff of the Adjutant General), Press Camp Headquarters Commander, Company Commander, Platoon Leader, Long Range Surveillance Paratrooper and Radio Operator, among others. Following his retirement from the National Guard, he worked in Texas for 14 years as a City Senior Deputy Emergency Management Coordinator and County Emergency Management Coordinator.
James has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Community Development and Public Administration from Central Michigan University and a Master of Arts in History from the University of Houston-Clear Lake.
He currently serves as a Director on the Michigan Military and Veterans Hall of Honor
McCrone has served in a variety of capacities during natural and man-made disasters, that included local, state and national operations, as well as, provided community disaster preparedness training and recovery planning, command information, crisis communications, and public affairs coordination.
