Civilian Background:
Worked for the US Postal Service (USPS) since 1997 and has served in assignments as the Postmaster of Romeo, Leonard, New Baltimore, and Rochester. Additional duties include Michigan 1 District CFC Coordinator, Detroit District Workplace Environment Improvement Ambassador (WEA) and member of the District Advisory Committee (DAC-EAP). Served as the Local Federal Coordinating Committee (LFCC) Chair for the state of Michigan. Held several detail assignments as a Distribution Operations Manager at the Michigan Metroplex, Manager of Post Office Operations Area 3, Officer in Charge (OIC) of Mt. Clemens Post Office, OIC Roseville PO and Branch Manager of Shelby Post Office. Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Greenbelt Qualified and is a LSS Yellow Belt Instructor. Currently serving as a Homeland Security Coordinator for the US Postal Inspection Service (USPIS). And is currently a USPIS National HQs, Homeland Security Coordinator Trainer.
Military Background:
Enlisted Active-duty Army in 1990 as an Administrative Assistant at Fort Jackson. After completing Airborne School at Fort Benning, GA was assigned to the 4th PSYOPS Group (Airborne) at Fort Bragg, NC and in 1994 and was assigned as the Executive Administrative Assistant with the 4th Special Operations Support Command (Theater Army) (Airborne) at Fort Shafter, Hawaii in 1994. In 1996, was selected to serve as a Special Security Officer for US Army Pacific Command in Hawaii. Was Honorably Discharged in 1997 and joined the Michigan Army National Guard, 177th Military Police Brigade. Attended Officer Candidate School in 2000-2001 was commissioned and branched Military Police Corps (MP). Held various assignments: Platoon Leader, HHD-Commander, Transportation Officer, Vulnerability Assessment Officer, Ops Battle Major and retired as the 46th MP Command’s Inspector General. During service I have one combat deployment (Operation Enduring Freedom-Afghanistan) and a non-combat deployment in support of Operation Noble Eagle. Overseas training assignment locations include Thailand, Guam and Okinawa, Japan. Participated in a humanitarian relief mission in response to the natural disaster (Hurricane Katrina).
