Robert embodies the roles of a Veteran, Father, Student, and dedicated Public Servant. Committed to maintaining the highest standards, he brings a wealth of experience to every role he undertakes.

Previously serving as the Deputy Director for the Michigan Veteran Affairs Agency, Robert has an extensive professional background. He held positions as a Veteran Navigator at HealthWest, Economic Development Coordinator at the Center for Nonprofit Housing, Chief Financial Officer at Empire Contractors, and State of Michigan Eligibility Specialist. His military service includes an honorable service as an Airborne Artilleryman in the 2/377th Parachutist Field Artillery Regiment, 4/25 Infantry Division. Robert’s military accolades include the Combat Action Badge, Parachutist Badge, Expert Driver Badge, Expert Marksmen, Combatives Level II Instructor, National Defense Service Ribbon, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Achievement Medal (x3), Overseas Service Ribbon (x3), Army Commendation Medal (x2), Good Conduct Medal, Operation Iraqi Freedom Medal with Campaign Star, Operation Enduring Freedom Medal with Campaign Star, and NATO Medal.

Currently, Robert is a full-time Ph.D. student at Western Michigan University. He holds a Master’s of Public Administration degree with a Certificate in Homeland Security from Pennsylvania State University, a Bachelor’s of Science Degree with an emphasis on leadership in business from Grand Valley State University, and a General Studies Associate’s Degree with an emphasis in small business management from Central Texas College.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Robert is an enthusiast for family time, biking, hiking, snowshoeing, hunting, snowboarding, home improvements, and various outdoor activities. His dedication to serving the public interest in his community remains unwavering as he continues to pursue his passion for public service.
