Bruce MacDonald

Major General Bruce G. MacDonald, USA (Ret.), served 38 years in the U.S. Army, including as Deputy Chief of Army Public Affairs during Operation Desert Storm. He commanded both the 300th Military Police Command and the 70th Division (Training), achieving the rank of Major General before retiring. Alongside his distinguished military career, MacDonald served as the Civilian Aide to the Secretary of the Army for Michigan for 18 years. MacDonald is a veteran communications executive, spending 31 years with General Motors, where he became Vice President of Saturn and GM Worldwide Communications. His leadership helped organizations transition from public relations to strategic communications, and he was instrumental in launching GM’s OnStar system and naming the Pontiac Fiero sports coupe. After founding MacDonald Communications in 1995, he continued to play a significant role in business and veteran advocacy. He holds multiple degrees, including an MBA from Michigan State University, and is a graduate of the Army War College and Harvard’s National Security Program. His legacy includes significant contributions to both military and civilian sectors.
